Man Breaches Perimeter Fence and Enters Apron at Lisbon Airport

A 36-year-old man breached the perimeter security fence and entered the apron area at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon, Portugal. The incident occurred at around 8:55 a.m. on Sunday.

The Portuguese national was spotted and stopped by airport personnel shortly after entering the restricted area. He was then handed over to the authorities for further action.

Portugal’s Public Security Police (PSP) said the man was identified and examined by medical teams from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) following the incident. Despite the security breach, the incident caused no disruption to air traffic or airport operations.
